In 2019, Áspero took the gravel world by storm, heralding a "new era of speed in gravel." Fun, but flat out. The new Áspero remains true to its original brief, but with some improvements: a threaded BB shell, neater cable routing, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger for those who want to use SRAM's Transmission drivetrains. And it's more aero, of course. In the case of Áspero, aerodynamic performance is less about pure speed as a result of drag reduction, and more about conservation of energy. After a big day in a headwind, the three watts saved over the previous Aspero might add up to one less energy gel your stomach has to digest—WORTH IT.
In addition to the drag reduction, we also dropped the seat stays to give a bit more compliance out back, and reduced front-end stiffness slightly to make the last hours of a long race less painful. Between those dropped seat stays, we added in a bit more clearance for mud, too, taking what we learned from R5-CX (and the Unbound mudfest in 2023). It's a lot of seemingly small improvements, but they add up to a lot. The result is a bike that feels a lot like the original Áspero, but is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.
THREADED BOTTOM BRACKET
Aspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket we pioneered on R5-CX. It's a simple, rider-serviceable interface that allows us to deliver the benefits of BBRight in a more user-friendly form.
UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGER
We used SRAM's Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) standard on the new Aspero. It's ideal if you want to live your best 'business in the front, party in the back' life with one of SRAM's Transmission drivetrains today, and ensures compatibility for future drivetrain developments.
INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Aspero shares the same bearing dimensions as R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia, which means you can use any combination of bearing caps and stems. Want a super-racy, fully-internal look? Grab the ST31 and HB13 from R5.
Caledonia is a high-performance road bike with endurance-oriented geometry that delivers everything you'd expect from a Cervélo. It's designed for all-season riders, fondo racers, and those who've just been bitten by the cycling bug. Clean, aerodynamic lines, hidden cables, and a highly-tuned carbon fiber layup add up to a bike that's fast enough for spirited group rides, comfortable enough for all-day efforts, and looks right at home at every coffee stop.
Internal Cables, Without The Hassle
Unlike the Caledonia-5's fully internal system, the Caledonia offers mechanic-friendly cable and hose routing that supports both fully-integrated setups (with ST31/32 and HB18) and our standard semi-external routing.
Ride-All-Day Geometry
With a 1013mm wheelbase, 415mm chainstays, and 72° head tube angle, the Caledonia delivers stable and predictable handling suitable for both casual riders and those hunting fondo and brevet glory. We also updated the trail figure to optimize the geometry for 32mm-wide tires.
Threaded Bottom Bracket
The T47a threaded bottom bracket simplifies service for home mechanics, and ensures long-term performance.
Room For Big Tires, Plus Fender Mounts
On a big ride, you'll encounter roads that are…less than maintained. The Caledonia's 36mm tire clearance allows you to mount up road-smoothing, comfortable rubber that makes a big difference when the odometer hits triple digits. And for the year-round, all-weather pedalers, Caledonia comes with fender mounts that make it easy to add full-coverage fenders.
P5 is a contre la montre catalyst. It's made for one thing—helping you go as fast as possible between Point A and Point B.
As at home on the Big Island as it is in a race-critical time trial at the Tour de France, the P5 enables exceptional performances. The past decade of elite road racing has shown the importance of being able to deliver a strong time trial late in a Grand Tour, and the P5 was a key part of Team Jumbo-Visma's Giro d'Italia and Tour de France wins in 2023.
On the new bike, we focused on creating a fast platform that could be made faster with the latest wheels and cutting-edge fit adaptations. There's room for a 34mm tire on wide wheels, which improve aerodynamics and reduce rolling resistance. The basebar is lower to reduce CdA but possible stack has increased, and the extensions can now be adjusted between 0 and 30 degrees in five-millimeter increments. For triathletes, we include a variety of storage options, because half the battle is taking in sufficient calories to deliver a strong marathon. Also new on this bike? A size 61 to help all of our tall friends achieve a better fit.
SIMPLICITY & ADJUSTABILITY
The new one-piece front end (first pioneered on the S5) is simpler to assemble and adjust, and stack is now adjustable up to 40mm, while the basebar height drops by 10mm to minimize frontal area. The new riser increases tilt adjustability, 0 to 30 degrees, in 5-degree increments.
SPEED
The new P5 frame is about a watt faster aerodynamically than the previous model, and has clearance for 34mm tires. That clearance means plenty of room for Reserve's new 77/88 wheelset, and Vittoria's 29mm tire, which saves about 4 watts over the previous Reserve/Vittoria pair for a total system savings of about 5 watts.
COMFORT & CONTROL
The new armrests and pads on the P5 are wider, taller, and thicker than before. It's definitely more comfortable, but it's also more confidence-inspiring. More surface area here leads to better control, which means more time in the most aerodynamic position possible.
COMPLIANCE
The new fastback seat stay design reduces vertical stiffness by about 22% (while maintaining the lateral stiffness needed for power transfer). The TT position is unforgiving (to say the least), but the new P5 will help you roll into T2 a lot fresher.
The new bike is over 6 Watts faster than its predecessor, 124 grams lighter, and retains the handling, poise, and stability that riders everywhere love. The biggest changes are at the front of the bike, where the most significant aerodynamic performance comes from. The fork legs and head tube got quite a bit deeper, and the all-new, one-piece handlebar/stem builds on the original V-stem concept—and gets even faster.
Cervélo and Reserve co-developed the new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels specifically for use in the S5 frame, completing the aerodynamic system.
Aero Aero Aero
The new S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than its predecessor. These gains are realized primarily at the front end of the bike, but the integration of the asymmetric profiles of the seat tube and rear wheel are a significant source as well. Cervélo has long been the aerodynamic leader in the peloton, and we’re confident that the new S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than the bikes of our competitors.
One-Piece Handlebar/Stem
HB19 uses our “Plus-Four” concept, meaning the dimension at the hoods is 4cm narrower than in the drops (e.g. 38cm/42cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aero body position while their hands are on the hoods, and provides stability in the drops for descending and sprinting. All bar sizes are UCI-legal, even in light of the most recent regulations change.
Not just faster. Lighter, too.
Despite an increase in surface area, the new S5 is 124 grams lighter than its predecessor. While the increase in fork and head tube depth added weight, we optimized the layup and hardware to make the system lighter.
Reserve 57|64 Designed for S5:
The new Reserve 57|64 wheelset was co-developed by Reserve and Cervélo, and designed for use in the new S5. The rear wheel’s asymmetry matches the seat tube, ensuring air flows smoothly over both. The new wheelset is 3 Watts faster than the 52|63 wheels, and weighs the same.
The Soloist. It's a name from deep in our history, but immediately familiar to anyone with bike racing memories extending back to the early-2000s. It was the weapon of choice for top World Tour contenders on CSC and the Cervelo Test Team, and we're bringing it back for a new generation. The new Soloist is designed for the week-in, week-out rider and racer who can only justify one high-performance bike. It balances light weight and aerodynamic advantages to deliver a bike that really is 'just right.' Soloist comes in a hair lighter than S5, but significantly more aerodynamic than R5, and borrows the threaded bottom bracket standard you find on the R5-CX. It's a race bike that can accommodate mechanical and electronic shifting, can hammer out the training miles in all weather, and yet still has the chops to leap off the front at that decisive moment. That's the Soloist.
Looks Like a Race Bike, Rides Like a Race Bike
We took the handling geometry for the Soloist directly from R5. The R5 is beloved by pros and amateurs alike for its poise, stability, and precision when that killer climb turns into an even more killer descent. Soloist benefits from our decades of race bike geometry development, and comes out of the gate ready to go.
Fast Like S5, Light Like R5
Soloist sits right between S5 and R5 on the performance scale, while having a price tag that's less World Tour, more Road Trip. It's about 250g heavier than R5, and 250g lighter than S5. It's 190g slower than S5, but 126g faster than R5. You get the idea. It's the 'just-right' answer for the rider trying to find a smart, intentional compromise.
Hidden From the Wind, No Bleed Necessary
The cable routing is inside the frame for aerodynamics, but doesn't go through the stem. We developed our own system that threads the cables under the stem, but through the bearing cap. Whether your position changes or you loan the bike to a friend who uses a different stem length, you won't need to bleed the brakes to swap the stem.

The Soloist fits tires up to 34mm (measured), and wheels wide enough to support them.
BBRight-47
The BBRight-47 bottom bracket, which first appeared on the R5-CX, is ideal for those who log big miles but don't have a pro wrench checking the bike over every day. It makes BB swaps a breeze (convenient if you're burning through hand-me-down components) and extends the life of the frame.
